Rules before Strikes

Scribble Strife is competitive, but it should never become hostile. Respect filters, respect consent, credit your sources, and keep the space safe for adult artists.

18+

Age and accounts

  • You must be 18 or older to register and use Scribble Strife.
  • Only one active account is allowed per person.
  • Usernames can be changed once per year.

Art and ownership

  • AI-generated art is not allowed.
  • Characters and artwork must be yours, or you must have clear permission with credit.
  • Do not copy, steal, trace, or include another artist's work in your finished submission.
  • Canon characters cannot be uploaded as characters or used as the main focus of submissions. Heavily altered character-based characters with different names from their source are allowed, however.
  • Bases made by other artists are not allowed except for character references.
  • Bases of any kind are not allowed to be used in Strikes.
  • Referencing images and 3D models is allowed.
  • Directly tracing images that do not belong to you is not allowed.
  • Rotoscoping is not allowed at this time.
  • Artwork created or received through Scribble Strife must remain non-commercial. It may not be sold, auctioned, or exchanged as an item of value.
  • For physical Strikes, the recipient may be asked to reimburse postage only. Artists may not charge for their time, labor, or materials.
  • Artists may show a Strike they created as an example when advertising commissions or art trades, but only after receiving permission from the recipient.

Respect and safety

  • Hateful, discriminatory, or harassing content is prohibited.
  • Transphobia, homophobia, racism, xenophobia, ableism, and sexism are not allowed.
  • Slurs, even if reclaimed, are not allowed anywhere on the site.
  • Non-discriminatory DNIs (“Do Not Interact”s) that do not target marginalized groups are allowed. DNIs will not be enforced by staff, it is a user's responsibility to establish their boundaries and block others when necessary.
  • Characters inspired by real cultures, histories, and events must be portrayed respectfully.
  • Do not post, repeatedly share, or direct other users to unlawful material, malware, phishing pages, or other potentially dangerous content.

Mature content

  • Sexual content is allowed only when properly rated and filtered.
  • Fetish art or fetish-based characters must use the Suggestive Themes filter.
  • Requests that hide a fetish motive or seek fetish-oriented artwork without the other artist's clear knowledge and informed consent are prohibited.
  • Content that is unlawful to create or depict under United States federal law is not permitted in any form, including cropped, blurred, censored, or partially obscured versions.
  • Sexualized minors, sexualized feral animals, and harmful paraphilic content are not allowed.
  • Minor-coded characters are not to be portrayed in sexual or sensual situations, regardless of any stated age.
  • Images portraying sexual assault or sexual harassment are never allowed on Scribble Strife.

Filters

  • Filtered content cannot appear in icons, usernames, character names, or profile CSS.
  • Gore, Eyestrain, and Sensitive Content need spoilers and clear warnings when discussed or shown in profile text or comments.
  • Nudity, Suggestive Themes, and Sexual Content are not allowed in profiles or comments.
  • Sensitive Content covers potentially disturbing writing or imagery that does not fit more precisely under another available filter.
  • Nudity applies when an unclothed figure has visible genitals.
  • Eyestrain applies to imagery that may cause visual discomfort or strain, such as intense contrast, flashing effects, harsh patterns, or extremely saturated colors.
  • Suggestive Themes covers artwork presented with sexual or suggestive intent without becoming explicit, including pin-up poses and deliberately provocative framing.
  • Sexual Content includes sex acts, sexual fluids, aroused genitals, fetish-focused material, emphasized genital bulges beneath clothing, and intentionally exaggerated sexual anatomy or body proportions.
  • Gore applies to severe injury beyond ordinary cuts or bruising, especially when internal tissue, organs, bone, or other normally hidden anatomy is exposed.
